DoreenCOOK(Fenham) Formerly Byker. Doreen aged 91 years. Beloved wife of the late John, devoted mam to Martin and daughter-in-law Denise, loving grandma to Laura, husband David and an amazing great-grandmother to George and Frank also loving sister and aunt to all her family. Doreen passed away peacefully at home on 12th July after a very brief illness fought with courage and dignity surrounded by her family and close friend Janice. Funeral to take place on Wednesday 27th July at 11.15am at West Road Crematorium then afterwards at Benwell Hill Cricket Club. No flowers at Doreen's request, however donations to Cancer Research UK would be gratefully received. At this point Denise and Martin would especially like to thank Bev, Jas and Rae for the wonderful love and care they showed Doreen during her illness, we would have been lost without you. Dr Sherrif at Denton Turret Medical Group and Becky and everyone who came out from the District Nurses thank you for the care and concern you showed for all of us during this time. May you RIP Mam you will be greatly missed and forever loved.
