I left Plymouth over 10 years ago and was informed of Andy's passing by e mail. Shocked and stunned do not express my feelings. My heartfelt sympathies go to his family and expressively to his father who must be devastated.
Go in peace Andy.

Very sad news. I was friends with Andy at school (DHS) together with a small circle of others, and have many fond memories of those days. Parties at each other's houses in rotation and camping trips to Dartmoor and (legendary ones) to Penzance will remain long in the memory. RIP Andy and condolences to your family.

So sad to hear this. We were good friends from early days at primary school through to DHS. Lost touch after school but many fond memories of juvenile shenanigans in the 60s and 70s. What a shock. Truly heartfelt condolences to the Coombes family, particularly dad Dave.
