ThomasCOONEYOn Sunday 18 December 2016, after a brave fight, aged 79 years, Thomas (Tommy), the loving husband of the late Patricia (Pat), dad to Helen, Jill. Philip and Graham. Father-in-law to Ross, John, Vicky and Viv. Grandad to Catherine, Thomas, Ellis and Dylan and great grandad to Paige. Loving brother to Edna and uncle to Joanna and Scott and friend to many. Tommy who was born in Salford, lived in Manchester and Warrington and was a life-long Manchester City fan. He did his National Service in the Royal Signals, serving in Cyprus, then working for the Royal Mail in Manchester South DO and Newton Street MLO for 40 years before retiring in 1992.
