How I wish to honor this remarkable man to whom I owe my very existence. If it were not for his endeavors as a 23 year old in the displaced person camp in 1945, my family would have been annihilated within 3 days time. I will ever be grateful not only for what he had done during that dreadful time in history, but for the legacy of his book that will allow my own children to remember and honor the goodness, generosity and kindness of those who valued human life so much, that they laid down their own to preserve it for others. May God bless you John, with the rich reward of eternal Joy in the presence of the God who you lived to serve. Sincerely, Cathy from Cleveland, Ohio USA
