DesmondCOSTELLODesmond passed away at home, with his devoted wife, Kathleen, by his side, on 10th November 2023, aged 90 years.

Treasured dad of Marian, Carol, Shamus, Theresa, Anthony, Helen and Clare. Desmond was also a respected father-in-law, cherished grandad & great grandad. He brought a smile to many, and his memory will live on, he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends please meet for Desmond's requiem mass on Monday 27th November at St Patricks Church, Felling at 10am, followed by committal at Saltwell Crematorium at 11:15am.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu will be received on the day. A donation box will be available at church and crematorium.

Desmond will be resting peacefully with Co-op Funeralcare, Gateshead, where any enquiries can be made on. Tel (0191 482 2371)

'May the road rise to meet him, may the wind be always at his back, may the sun shine warm upon his face and may God hold him in the palm of his hand. May he Rest in Peace.

The Board of Directors, Council of Governors and all colleagues at Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust are thinking of Des' family and friends at this sad time.
Des was a valued colleague and friend to many and dedicated so much of his time to supporting our patients and the Gateshead community, for which we are so very grateful.
He will be a huge miss to us all.
