I hadn't been in touch with Bob for some years, but wondered what he was up to - googling I found he had died. For many years he was active in the Campaign Against Arms Trade, where I worked. He volunteered in the CAAT office, was on its Steering Committee, active locally in Swansea and always at its demonstrations. The peace movement, as well as the green movement, owed him much. My sympathy to his family and close friends.

Apologies if I am repeating ...
NOS DA CARIAD.
I met Bob through Greenpeace when he was on of the most reliable and genuine members of my network we attended many and varied actions together and I couldn't of continued to grow the group into the most active GP group Wales had ever seen without him . He became my unofficial and best mentor in those times .
Outside of that and right up to the last we became close friends , often meeting at festivals BGG in particular as well as various gigs and wot not, always fun always supportive, he regularly kept in touch with me through the vagaries of life.
We would have huge phone catch ups and of course the cards I have around twenty years worth of them and each one cracks me up and holds me safe.
One of the most enduring and magical relationships of my life I am privileged to have been counted as his friend .
NOS DA CARIAD and thank you ✨💖✨🙏🦋

I have known Bob since 1974 when we both worked at the place known locally as the M.O.T. think DVLC was the original name (later to be re-named DVLA) we became and remained friends. Went on a few anti vivisection and anti live transport demos together including Swansea Airport and Brussels.
Blame me for the Tikosi theme on his cards, I was the person who gave him the tea cosy when he first moved into his house. As quoted by Billy Connolly “Never trust a man who, when left alone in a room with a tea cozy, doesn't try it on. ”
I will miss his friendship and humour greatly.
