PamelaCOWARDWe announce the very sad passing of Dame Pamela Sarah Coward from Cowpe, she died peacefully and with dignity at Rossendale House Care Home. She was born in January 1944 and passed aged 81 years and was the wife of the late Alan Lowe. Pamela was appointed as an Ordinary Dame Commander in 2003 for transforming Middleton Technology School in Greater Manchester. She retired from the school in 2004 and then worked as a consultant to other schools and establishments. Following on from this she was the chair of governors at Kingsway Park High School, and an active member of the Rossendale Labour Party.
She leaves her son Andrew and his fiancée Julie, granddaughter Millie and her partner Callum, granddaughters Stephanie and Alanna and stepdaughter Samantha along with nephews and nieces and many very good friends of whom will all sadly miss her.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday 12th March at 2:30 at Burnley Crematorium and afterwards at Lowerhouse Cricket Club.
