AnnieCOWELLof Danesmoor Rest Home, formerly of Cherry Crescent, passed away at Royal Blackburn Hospital on Tuesday, December 31, aged 92. Annie worked in the cotton industry at Ilex Mill and David Whitehead's and in the quilting industry. In her younger years she enjoyed travelling to Canada, Gibraltar, Austria, Blackpool, Tangiers and all over the world. Annie was interested in knitting, amateur dramatics, flower shows and socialising with family and friends. She was a member of Rawtenstall Amateur Dramatics. Annie leaves great-nieces and a great-nephew, great, great-nieces and nephews and great, great, great-nieces and nephews. The funeral was held on Friday, January 24, led by Neil Overton at the Chapel of Rest at Fred Hamer Funeral Services, followed by committal at Burnley Crematorium. Donations to Marie Curie welcome.
