Suddenly but peacefully on 9th November 2025 at home with Judy by his side, Richard aged 83 years of Hilderstone.

Dearly loved and loving husband of Judy, much loved and proud dad of Stephen, Andrew, David and daughter-in-law Sam, treasured grandad of Jessica and Mollie and a dear brother of Ann and the late John. Richard will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all his family, many friends, colleagues and customers.

Funeral service will take place at Christ Church, Hilderstone on Thursday 11th December at 11am, followed by interment in the Churchyard. Will relatives and friends kindly meet at the church.

Family flowers only please, donations if desired for Christ Church, Hilderstone, the RNLI or Midlands Air Ambulance.

R D Cresswell was my first job from school at 15. I am now 64. Richard was one of the nicest, caring people I had a pleasure to know. I called in to the shop many many times and when Richard was working he always chatted and remembered me. RIP , a very sad loss.
