JanetCROASDALEOn January 2, Janet Croasdale of Accrington, passed away in hospital, surrounded by her loving family, aged 83 years. The much loved and loving mum of Duncan and Paul, dear mother-in-law of Fiona and the late Shellie, devoted grandma of Janine, Matthew, Amy, Donna-Louise and Dominic and great grandma of Jessica, twins Emily and Faye, Harrison, Elizabeth, Jude, Harvey and Lenny. Janet worked at Albert Harrisons on the production line and loved her work, particularly enjoying the banter on the shop floor. She then moved to RGS as a Spot Welder but had to take early retirement due to ill health. It was at RGS that she met her great friend, Joyce. Janet enjoyed being in company and enjoyed socialising with her close knit group of friends – Joyce and her neighbours, Doreen and Ian. She was a lovely character who spoke her mind and was refreshingly honest. An avid supporter of Burnley FC Janet held a season ticket for many years. She loved to watch sport on TV too – as long as it wasn’t golf. But it was in the heart of her family that Janet found her true joy. Whether visiting, talking, or simply gazing at cherished family photos, Janet’s connection with her family was the cornerstone of her happiness. She took delight in hearing their news and relishing in all the family gossip, weaving a tapestry of love and shared memories. Janet also enjoyed her trips to America visiting sister-in-law Maureen and family. She will be remembered for her love for her family, and taught them that everything done with love would last.
