The obituary notice of Tom CROSBY

From a grateful and priviledged patient -

A kinder, warmer, more empathetic and caring man than Prof. Tom Cosby OBE, you will never meet. A true professional and expert in his field and totally respected by all who knew him.
I owe my life to this wonderful man and his extremely amazing team at Velindre. I and so very many others have been so blessed and priviledged to have been under his care and I am sure all, like myself, are utterly devastated by the sad news of his passing.
Sending deepest sympathies, support and the warmest of hugs to his wife and family and all the love and support to his wonderful team and colleagues who have had the privilege of working with him over the years.
We are all forever in his debt

Tom you saved my life which makes me feel guilty for being here given the fact you’ve sadly passed away. You were a bastion of elongating lifespans and there are so many human beings out there like myself that have been given the miracle of recovery because of you and your incredible kindness and humility.
My heartfelt condolences go out to your family. You are the reason I am writing this, without you I wouldn’t be here and not only have you made the difference for me but you’ve given my children and grandchildren someone they can continue loving. I am devastated at your passing.
A man I will hold dear in my heart forever more.

Prof Tom, as we called him, much to his amusement, went to extraordinary lengths to keep me alive. He became a trusted and cherished friend to Ian and to me.His death is a cruel blow to all who knew him.
