'Uncle' Brian was my godfather. As a boy he introduced me to the joy of radio and we would listen together at his home in Sherwood. He also took me to my very first football match at Meadow Lane in 1973. I've been a staunch Notts fans ever since. I've only just learned of his passing, unfortunately. He was a kind and gentle man.
