AnthonyCROSSLEYformerly of Baginton, Warwickshire Dearly beloved husband of Barbara, father to David and Emma, grandfather to Peter, Hattie and Dougie. Passed away peacefully on Monday August 22nd, 2022, aged 85. Born in Huddersfield, Yorkshire on November 12th, 1936. After completing national service as a despatch rider in the Royal Corps of Signals (5th Training Regiment 5TR) and a member of the elite Royal Signals White Helmets Motorcycle Display Team participating in many public performances including the 1959 Royal Tournament at Earls Court, Tony relocated to the West Midlands and Coventry in the 1960s starting as an apprentice working for local company, National Electric & Engineering Co. (Birmingham) Ltd, before retiring as Managing Director after 50 years of service. Tony was a keen motorcross and trials rider belonging to the Solihull and Antelope Motorcycle clubs, successfully completing the Isle of Man Manx 2 day trial event. Tony was an enthusiastic participant in local classic car rallies exhibiting his 1951 MG Y-Type and MG Midget, a member of the Coventry Spires U3A, Baginton walking group and several local Country & Western and Bluegrass music clubs. He will be deeply missed by all his family, friends and motorcycling comrades. Funeral service to be held at Canley Crematorium Charter Chapel on Thursday September 22nd, at 1.30pm.
