NO NOVEMBER

This month has such bad reports -
Full of doom and sadness -
Noone gives it praise or love – but
Treat it like a madness.
Moans about the rain and fog -
Frosty panes with rime!
Dark, wet mornings – cold and chill -
Not a shaft of shine -
Drip, drip, drip – pitter patter
Swirling leaves cling and fall -
Pretending doom and gloom don’t matter.
No one cares a fig at all.
But we beg – just a day of respite -
Where gentle breeze drifts in and out -
And foggy mornings fade from sight.
Chicks and sweet lambs gambol about -
This nasty month of mine
Will soon come to an end -
And then the winter really starts:
You’ve not had the worst – my friend!

Celebrations should start with a hug and end with a smile.

BONFIRE NIGHT

Crash – Bang – Wallop -
Screech – scream – whizz!
Splutter – flutter – hiss -
The sky is in a fizz!
Sparkle – glowing in the night -
Flashes of red and yellow bright.
Explosions fan out in the sky -
Rockets zooming in awry -
And some remember the reason why
We send these noises to the sky.
Do you?

Sunday should be a day of rest but many find it the most strenuous!

Celebrations are in the air. Birthdays remind us of past friends and loved ones dear. Of blessings short and tall.

It's not the worry that worries me - it's the worrying about the worry - that worries me.
