It is so restful watching nature at work – I gaze for ages looking at a flower grow.

BUTTERCUPS AND DAISIES

Picnic spread upon the lawn -
Clover in your hair -
Buzzing creatures drone forlorn -
Summer’s really here !
Fishing, wishing days would last -
Hazy memories those past -
Bringing brightness to the lightness -
Life goes by so fast.
Picking daisies by the stem -
Buttercups beneath chin -
And larks that call upon a whim -
While wispy clouds drift aft!

BLOSSOM

May or apple – plum or cherry -
So pretty each tree is dressed.
In a flurry – soft wind mischief -
And the ground now looks a mess.
Almond pink and hawthorn white.
Bringing hope – and life and light -
But a damp day too will bring -
Things to make your worries ring -
So, look once more at all the flora -
And look long and hard – it's gone tomorrow!

A WEEKEND OF FUN

May Day – first of May -
Gathering nuts and summer play -
May Day – Labour Day -
Blue skies chase the grey -
For it is soon to be May.

Spring is the most wonderful magic trick of all –things keep popping out without any magic wand, year after year after year!

SPRING HOLIDAYS

As the coast runs by your side -
On either fence – open wide -
And lambs that frolic in the sun -
Small wee things – can hardly run -
Snake like – rivers flow close by -
Slyly weaving to the sea -
Never looking to bid goodbye -
Winding on – end – less- ly
Without so much a sigh!
And looming in the distance fair
Mountains cluster one by one
Tempting all to come so near -
Then blocking the roadway run
Holidays can be such fun!
When all is said – and done.
