Theresa EileenCUDWORTHTHERESA Eileen Cudworth, known as Eileen, was born on June 13, 1938 to Thomas and Honorah Greenwood, of Bacup. She lived her whole life in the Valley and made a great many lasting friendships over the years. A pupil at St Mary's Catholic School in Bacup, Eileen was a devoted Catholic and had a lifelong association with St Mary's Church. She participated in a number of pilgrimages all over the world and regularly attended Mass, parish lunches and a variety of other church events. Wife to the late Norman and mother to the late Christopher, Eileen leaves her sons Anthony and Jon, daughters-in-law Lydia and Jen, grandchildren Naomi, Jasmine, Ella, Christian and Charlotte, her dear nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends. A funeral Mass was conducted by Fr Chris McGrane and Fr Paul Cannon, on Friday, March 13, at St Anselm's RC Church, Whitworth at 10.30am, followed by interment at Bacup Cemetery. No flowers please, instead Eileen's family have requested donations for Rossendale Hospice and Marie Curie Cancer Care, c/o funeral director Margaret Goodwin for Woods Funeral Service, Bacup.
