PeterDALESadly passed, after a courageously fought battle, on Sunday 31st December 2023 aged 88 years with his loving family by his side. Peter, beloved husband of Florrie, cherished dad of Lynn and Tony, devoted grandad of Cameron and Megan. Loving father-in-law of Neil and Wendy and a much loved brother of Rita and the late Vincent, Harry, Audrey, Eric, Brian, Marion and Lillian. Peter will be loved forever and a huge miss for all his family and friends. Would family and friends please meet for funeral service and cremation at West Road Crematorium on Thursday 18th January 2024 at 1:30pm. All welcome afterwards for refreshments and a further celebration of Peter's life at Westerhope Excelsior Club. Family flowers only, donations if desired, can be made on the day, in Peter's honour, to our chosen charity. Forever in our hearts.

Peter, our next door neighbour for 21 years. A quiet unassuming family man who made a big impression. I remember my brothers wedding day, when the heavens opened with torrential rain. Peter produced a golf umbrella from up his sleeve and escorted the whole wedding party back and forward from the cars to the church door. He was dripping wet but didn’t care as his goal was achieved, keeping the bride and her wedding party dry. He must have been wet all day long, bless him.
A true gentleman - my thoughts are with you all but especially with Florrie who has lost her very own knight in shining armour.
