I knew Brian about 13 years ago when we stayed at the same house. We became friends and he was always so kind and caring. He helped me to learn to drive. I was very shocked to learn of his passing. I wish l'd found him sooner. He had a big heart. Love to his family.

When I heard the news, I was shocked and utterly
devastated. Such a kind man who shared many
fun stories or wise advice. He was a person who would show kindness at everything he did, and there are many woodlands that have witnessed his hard work. He was a great friend, always with a kind smile, and cared greatly about those around him. I have been very lucky to have had the privilege of working with him during my placement year. And I send heartfelt condolences to his family during this difficult time.

Brian helped me to set up rabbit fencing around my research trees during my PHD (way back in 2008!) and went above and beyond to help with this and I will be ever grateful for his kiindness and support during that time. Very sad to hear of his passing and I send heartfelt condolences to his family during this sad time

Brian, thank you for your unwavering belief in Moor Trees, and everlasting supply of hot drinks and cake to all the volunteers, come rain or shine.

Many a young forest in Dartmoor echos with your footsteps.
