Earlier this year a light that shone so brightly, for so long and for so many people went out. How could it? The guy was indestructible, wasn't he?
Turned out that, after all, he was just another human being. But what a huge, unique, larger than life character that drew people to him like a magnet.
His life revolved around his family and motorcycles -- to which he had a total and lifelong commitment and encyclopedic knowledge.
So, here's to the good times, Dave
To the rides, rallies, the Island (maybe not the crashes!)
To the many funny, improbable, impossible stories that those of us who were there know weren't!
Grown men don't have hero's, do they?
Well,, here's to someone I'm proud to call a friend and hero,
Dave Dan.
As everyone knew him

Uncle dia,
I've so many wonderful memories of you the time you picked Chris and myself up on your bike and side car from Grangetown as the snow was to deep for car how you got us home I don't know. And trips away stuck in the back of the Volvo face pressing against the glass. And of course the famous New Years eve parties.
Sleep tight uncle Dai x

We will miss you David as will many others, and in particular we will miss those fascinating and lengthy tales you told. What a life you had filled with family, motor bikes, cars and all things mechanical. Rest in peace David and thank you for the memories.
