Very sad learning of the passing of Mr. Darby. I had the pleasure of getting to know him in my past occupation of NHS podiatrist. Apart from being one of the nicest gentlemen one could meet, Mr Darby was amongst the most interesting too. For instance, he introduced me to the early development of 3D printing and its many potential applications. I remember finding a watch that had been lost at the clinic, determining it was his and returning it to him at his home. I remember well the real pleasure that gave him. Sadly and since leaving my role in the NHS, inevitably we lost touch. All the same, he bore his health challenges bravely and with dignity so that it was always a pleasure welcoming into my clinic. I remember Mr Darby with much fondness. I'm sure he is at peace. My condolences to his family and friends.
