Dr JoanD'ARCYD'ARCY Dr. Joan née Mayer Died peacefully on the 19th July 2020 at home, aged 80 leaving John, her husband of 53 years, distraught. A much loved and respected teacher of History, who was a stalwart supporter of Derbyshire Archaeological Society and founded Little Chester Heritage Centre. She co-wrote and edited two books on aspects of Derby as well as writing several monographs. Her unselfish and kind nature, her friendly and energetic personality will be solely missed by her many friends. A private funeral will be held at Markeaton Crematorium.
