Dr S.C. Das Gupta "Guppy" sadly passed away on 23rd June 2023, age 90 years, at the Manor House Nursing Home, following a long illness.

Beloved husband to Pauline, dearest dad to Anita and John, father-in-law to Chris and Lizzie. Devoted grandpops to Jourdaine, Tilly-Rose, Jacob, Amy and Elliot.

A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday 6th July 3pm at Stafford Crematorium. Family flowers only, donations to Greenhall Community Special School

Difficult to pen my thoughts about my uncle's demise. Coming from the same city, where he was born (actually the same house), I pray for a safe journey of his soul, to heaven. In 1996 he did make a remarkable recovery from serious herpetic meningitis, thanks to the relentless care of Pauline aunty. I shall miss his sense of humour and lingering smile. That's how I will always remember him. RIP.
