Dr. P.KDASGUPTAFRCP (Edin. & Lond.) 1933 - 2022 It is with great sadness that we report the unexpected death of Dr. Pranab Dasgupta (Babi) who, on the 17th of June this year, passed away suddenly and peacefully in Scunthorpe General Hospital after a short stay there. Known to many from his years as Consultant in Medicine for the elderly, at Scunthorpe General Hospital, as a long-standing trustee in the early years of Lindsey Lodge Hospice and in numerous other organisations in which he played an active part. He will be missed by many to whose lives and families his care and concern he always gave. Sorry to hear of the passing of Dr PK Dasgupta. I was privileged to work under him at both Brumby and Scunthorpe Hospitals. A very humble, kind, caring gentleman to both staff and patients.Fond memories of him coming to the hospital with all his family at Xmas time playing Santa for all the patients. One of life's true gentlemen and my thoughts are with his family

Many fond memories of Dr Dasgupta . Worked with him at Glanford, Brumby and Scunthorpe General. A very caking and caring person

Worked with him at Scunthorpe Hospital for a short period. He was always very supportive to his colleagues and very caring to his patients. A great man.

I was sorry to read about the passing of Dr. PK Dasgupta. I have some lovely memories of him .I worked with him at Brumby hospital in the early 1970s. He was such a nice person so Caring and good with the staff. He always spoke if you saw him in town and he always asked how my little girl was .She’s now 45 My sister in law was his secretary at Brumby hospital he was well liked by everyone
