Pamela JoyceDAVEYAndrew and Heidi are heartbroken to say that Pam collapsed suddenly in the early hours of the 4th December. She was cared for by the intensive care team but sadly passed away on Tuesday 6th December 2022. Our world has come crashing down with the complete suddenness of this loss. Pam's infectious zest for life, her warmth, kindness, compassion and empathy touched the lives of all of us lucky enough to have known her. Her beautiful heart makes this loss cut so much deeper, but also reminds us how lucky we are to call her 'ours'. A devoted wife and mum; sister, auntie and a dear friend. Pam's funeral service will be held on Thursday 29th December 2022 at 11.00am at Pilgrim Church in St Levan Road. Family flowers only please, but in keeping with Pam's love of helping others, donations if desired for Spring Intensive Care Charity or Parkinson's UK - Plymouth may be left online at wcpltd.com or there will be a donation box at the service. One of the loveliest ladies you could wish to meet. Would have been fondly been remembered by Geoff ( deceased), having helped to run the young people s discos at Pilgrim, many years ago.
We always enjoyed a chat and a joke when we bumped into each other, and were greeted warmly, as was everyone who knew her.
Rest in peace, Pam.
Sincere condolences to her family.
Doreen Ellis.

Dear Pam, all my memories of you are ones that leave me smiling, from school days to our 'old girls' get-togethers. You brought light into the world and I am so thankful for having known you - a beautiful soul x

I remember well our early years at College Road Primary School and celebrating each other’s birthday parties. So sorry that we didn’t get the opportunity to recall past times together, especially as you had just passed on a lovely picture of my dad (John Pengelly) standing behind the tool dept. counter in Lawsons. Sleep peacefully Pamela.

We met for the first time in September 1963 when we joined DHSG. We met for the last time in November 2022 when our little group of 'old girls' met again for lunch, leaving with a promise of 'see you in March'. What a wonderful lady. We have been so lucky to have had her in our lives. She has touched all of our hearts with her kindness and will be greatly missed. While we speak her name, she will not be forgotten and we will continue to speak often of her. Rest easy Pam sweetheart. Much love to your family. Marilyn
