Hubert CenechDAVIES ESQ J.P.At The Old Vicarage Nursing Home Tonna, Hubert Cenech Davies passed away peacefully on June 29th 2021 aged 94 years. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Mair; he was the devoted father of Rhian, dear brother of the late Megan Hill, and fond uncle of Susan, David, Jane and the late Richard Hill. To be received into St Theodore's Church on July 12th at 16.30 hrs. Funeral service at St Theodore's Church on July 13th at 11.30, to be followed by a strictly private service at Margam Crematorium. Box 791, York House, YORK YO1 0NJ Hubert Davies was the Religious Studies teacher at Trevelin Secondary Modern School, and then the Headteacher of Bryn Primary and finally Eastern County Primary School Taibach. He was appointed a Magistrate in 1968 and ultimately became Chair of the Port Talbot Bench. He was a deacon at Saron C.M. Chapel Pen y Cae, and a local lay preacher.
