AlanDAVIESIt is with deep sadness that we are sharing the news that Alan Davies, of Weir, passed away in hospital on January 4. A kind, intelligent man with a wicked sense of humour, Alan was good-natured; with both his time and expertise, he will be greatly missed, not just by family but, also professionally. Alan leaves behind his beloved wife Glynis; daughters Nikki and Zoe; sons Christopher and partner Iain, Simon and his wife Jenny, along with two much cherished granddaughters Skylar and Summer. The epitome of a gentle gentleman, Alan was both generous in nature, and time; the Highway Engineer of his business, DTPC. He leaves behind a legacy, colleagues and many friends after over forty years in the business. In his spare time, Alan was a true family man; he loved photography and spending holidays with his family. His family have requested family flowers only, but donations to Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis and Rossendale Hospice will be gratefully received. The family requests that those attending do not wear full black, as Alan loved colour.
