A truly inspirational man and Grandad. I wouldn't be half the person I am today without your guidance, full support and experiences over my lifetime I had the privilege of knowing you. Words cannot describe the loss I feel and will always feel. I am so privileged to be your Grandson and I will never forget what you have done for me, your children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family, friends and everyone in between. We have all been touched by your generosity and the experiences you have given us in life and will never forget that.

Missing you loads Grampa, love you lots, thanks for everything and say hello to the others you have joined up there

I have a couple of memories of Grandpa Griff.

He was always so kind to me, even though I wasn’t family.

He showed me how to wire a plug socket, at the flat in Cowes.

He also handed me money to bet on greyhounds, in Swindon for Alun’s birthday. I had strong feelings about betting money, especially with someone else’s money.

However I swallowed my pride and bet on two greyhounds on placement. They came first place.

Griff was so lovely and kind.

I have the most fond memory of him teaching me at the flat in Cowes, how to wire a plug socket.

Another memory is in Swindon for Alun’s birthday, he gave me some money to bet on greyhounds and told me to bet on some. I had my own strong opinions on betting, believing it was wrong and didn’t want to bet that day, yet alone using someone else’s money who wasn’t related to me to do so.

I ended up swallowing my pride, and had some fun.

The two greyhounds I bet on placement, came first place.

Thank you for the memories Griff
