Gethin, you were and always will be an inspiration to me. Skilled, determined and tenacious, your moral compass was fixed in the correct position. You were a true maverick and I’ll never forget you.

I remember the first day I met Geithin, it was at Canolfan yr Orsedd over 20 years ago, it was my first job in North Wales, he was so young and shy with his eyebrow piercing. I was to continued at CYO seeing him at early morning meetings. From then on he continued his career, making good use of his sign language skills from his CYO days. It would be an honour and priveldge to interpret at his funeral. Sincere condolences to his wife and children and family.

I met Gethin when he started learning BSL and have so many memories of him and Chris Williams on a Friday nights at the Killer in Llandudno Junction after Deaf Club. He started working for Conwy about the same time I started at NWDA (COS) and we would catch up whenever we could, usually at one of the hundreds of meetings we had to attend.
Gethin's life was his family and I can't imagine what they must be going through, but I hope the knowledge that Gethin was loved, in one way or another, by so many people helps just a little bit.
I'm off now to listen to some awful death metal in his memory.

Gethin was a wonderful, brave and determined man. I’ll never forget him and how hard he fought to achieve everything he did despite his illness. I feel proud and honoured to have known him and I know that in Conwy’s Disability Sevice his dedication and love for his job, doing his absolute best for everyone he supported will remain an example of the finest professional Social Work you could ever hope to experience. Thank you Gethin for everything xx
