It is with sadness that I say goodbye to my second cousin Keith.
Although we only met twice, the connection felt immediate and unmistakable — the kind that only blood relations seem to recognise. The first time was in 2004 when I visited Swansea with my children, and the second time in 2012 with Deon. Despite the years and the distance between our lives, the sense of family was instant and genuine.
Keith was a true gentleman — warm, kind, and quietly gracious. I will always be grateful that life gave us those opportunities to meet and share time together. Those moments meant more than he probably realised.
Distance may have limited the time we spent together in this life, but the bond of family remains. I like to think that in the next chapter we’ll make up for the time and stories that distance kept from us here.
Rest peacefully, Keith. Until we meet again.
With love Lisa, Deon and family (Queensland, Australia)
