DonaldDAWSONMr Donald John Dawson, of Hillview Nursing Home, formerly of Stacksteads, died at the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Friday, November 6, aged 91. Donald was an electrician, and ran his own company, Dawson’s Electrics. He was a football referee, loved ballroom dancing, music, and holidays, and was a Man City fan. He also entered ballroom dancing competitions. Donald leaves son Ian and wife Anne, daughter Gillian and husband Ivan, grandchild Stacy and her husband Paul, and lots of extended family. The family would like to thank all the staff at Hillview Care Home, and doctors and staff at the Royal Blackburn Hospital. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 25, with a service at the Chapel of Rest at 11am, followed by interment at Bacup Cemetery, led by celebrant Katy Unsworth.
