SandraDAYMrs Sandra Ann Day, of Kirkdale Avenue, Newchurch, died at the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Friday, December 3, aged 75. Sandra was a tax officer with Inland Revenue. She loved meeting family and friends, going to see musicals, reading and listening to music, and knitting. She leaves husband Wilfred Day, daughter Nicola Day, sister Sheila Smith and family in Cape Town, brothers and sisters-in-law Sheila May and husband Tony, Michael Day, and Stuart Day and wife Sue. The funeral was due to be held on Thursday, December 16, at 11.30am at Burnley Crematorium, led by Father Boast. Close family flowers only; donations if desired to Alzheimer’s Society can be made online at www. fredhamer.co.uk (tributes and donations).
