Eric 'Dixie'DEANDEAN ERIC 'DIXIE' Passed away peacefully while sleeping, leaving behind wife Lynda, daughter Jennifer, son in law Tony, son Anthony, daughter in law Julie and beloved Grandchildren Thomas, Isabella, Caden and Charlie. Eric was born of Edwin Fletcher Dean and Margaret May Dean in Chester, where he remained all his life, was the last of 12 siblings, outlived by his sister Ivy. He also leaves behind best mates Sloane Spencer and Gordon 'Diki Powell. Eric worked hard and lived a full and fun life, making friends everywhere he went. He played football at Chester Nomads AFC where he finally hung up his boots aged 60. He will be sorely missed by all left behind. A memorial service will be held at All Saints Church, Saughall on Friday 4th September at 12.30pm followed by committal at Chester Crematorium at 1.20pm. Due to the current COVID situation it will be invite only in church, but those wishing to pay their respects can line the road and stand in the churchyard with respect to social distancing.
