MargaretDEANMargaret passed away aged 95 years on Sunday, May 5. Daughter of the late Lilian Alice and Herbert Holden, Margaret was the wife of the late Harry. She was the much loved grandma of the late Adam and mother-in-law to the late Dan. Margaret leaves daughter Janet, granddaughter Fleur, and will be sadly missed. She dedicated her life to her family and was a good friend to many. Margaret liked nothing better than family holidays and gatherings and visits from her nieces and nephews. She was loved and respected by all who knew her and her passing marks the end of an era. The service will take place on Tuesday 28th May 2024 at Accrington Crematorium at 1.40pm. Donations can be made to The East Lancashire Hospice.

When I visited my Aunty Margaret the love for her immediate and wider family shone through in every conversation. She was the last of her generation so our conversations spanned over a hundred years, from her mother and father through to my own grandchildren. She was always interested and interesting and I will miss those heart warming chats.
