MaxwellDEASDEAS (Sunderland). Peacefully in hospital on September 4th, after a short illness, bravely borne, in his 93rd year, Maxwell, son of the late Charlton Deas, loving husband of Joy, devoted father of Maxine and Richard and a loving grandfather. Would family and friends please meet at St. Gabriel's Church (High Barnes), on Friday September 11th for Funeral Service at 2.30pm, prior to committal at Sunderland Crematorium. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if so desired to the P.D.S.A., a collection plate will be provided at the crematorium. All enquiries to Thomas Downey Funeral Service. Tel. From Ray Skinner, vicar of Newbottle in 1986, when Maxwell Deas was responsible for live broadcasting our Rogation Sunday morning service from St Matthews. I was told, viewed by 4 million. A huge privilege to work with such a sensitive and thoughtful man.
