MarjorieDENTPassed away peacefully at home on 26th July 2024, aged 81 years. Devoted and most precious Wife of the late Leslie. Loved and much treasured Mum of Alison and Helen. Adored Grandma of Joshua and Joseph. Dear Mother In-Law of Mike and good friend of John. A private family committal to precede a thanksgiving service at Hedon Methodist Church, on Monday 19th August at 11:30am. No flowers please by family request but donations welcome at the service for The Dove House Hospice. God Bless.

I give thanks to God for my long, deep friendship with Marjorie which started in the late 1950’s when we met at “Lindors”, a Methodist Guild Guest house. Marjorie supported me in my mental health issues and our friendship developed and grew over many years as Marjorie first married Les and I married Cedric. I hold special memories of holidays they spent with us, continuing with both Alison, Helen and then Josh. Marjorie’s faith was strong throughout and I give thanks she is now free from pain and “:In heavenly love abiding”. Kathleen Shipley Dorchester Dorset
