MavisDENTONPeacefully in her own home on Wednesday 8th May at the age of 93 years.

Devoted Grandmother of Robert, much loved Mother of late Graham Denton and Mother-in-law to Kath.

Fond memories to many around the district from DENTONS TAXIS of New Mill, Mavis was a much loved character by all that knew her and will be dearly missed by all Family and Friends.

It was Mavis' wish not to have a funeral but her ashes will be scattered with those of her late Husband Geoffrey Denton.

So sorry to hear of this. I am a local courier and had the pleasure of meeting Mavis several times on the round. We would always chat, and when I papped my horn she would always wave in her cheery way. Later when she had her walking sticks, she would wave a stick at me. Thank you Mavis, for bringing your sunshine on an often wet and miserable day. Xxx
