DHIREN SHAHLeicester graduate Dhiren Shahdied in an accident on a rented quad bike the day before he was due to return home from the Greek island of Corfu on August 2, 2009.The 22-year-old graduate, from Stoughton Road, Stoneygate, went to Judgemeadow Community College, Wyggeston and Queen Elizabeth I College, and Aston University, in Birmingham. He was due to start work as an optician the month after his death.His father, Haresh Shah, said: "Life is very precious and Dhiren shouldn't have lost his life when he did."He was the ideal son, very popular and clever."Dhiren had travelled to the resort of Kavos, Corfu, with eight friends on his first trip abroad without his parents.Dhiren's uncle Divyesh Shah said: "Dhiren always wanted to do things for other people. He really was someone who everyone wanted to be friends with."About 400 people attended his funeral, raising £600 for SightSavers International.Dhiren leaves behind his parents, Haresh and Ila,and two sisters, Bhavisha and Deepa.
