DenisDIAMONDPeacefully on 1st August 2019 in Moffat Hospital, Denis, aged 78 years of Halleaths, Lochmaben. A much loved dad of Angela and David and also father in law, grandad cheek and great grandad cheek. Funeral service to take place on Monday 12th August at Roucan Loch Crematoriun at 3pm. Family flowers only, donations may be given to Macmillan Nurses.

I remember Denis showing me a lighter he had been given as a present while travelling in a BT van on the M6. He commented that it was brilliant and he had never had a lighter before, he lit a cigarette, shook his lighter out and through it out of the window. we never did find it again. He was a good companion and a continuous source of fun. His memory (lack of) was legendary. I only worked a short while with him but his memory is still with me. All the best to his family and friends.

So sad to hear of the passing of such a wonderful person. Denis will always be remembered in our family, he was always so kind to me, Lin and our children Tom and Vicki. Like Caz and Roger we will also raise a glass in his memory and remember Denis with genuine affection and fondness.
