RodneyDICKINSONRodney died peacefully and suddenly, aged 87 years, in Springhill Nursing Home, Accrington, on May 11. Rodney had lead a varied life, starting off in the RAF, doing his National Service, then he was a bus driver. He also worked as the Mayor’s chauffeur until his retirement. He leaves his loving daughters Kathleen and Autumn, grandchildren Josef, Jed, Lysette and Adam. Great-granddaughter Evie, son-in-law Andy, uncle to Helen and Brian. Also sadly missed by Ciara and Larisa. Rodney was secretary to Great Harwood Male Voice Choir and he was also a steam train model railway enthusiast. His funeral will take place on Wednesday, June 5, at 11.30am at Clayton Baptist Church, Sparth Road, Clayton-le-Moors, followed by cremation at 12.20pm at Accrington Crematorium, conducted by Ann Lawson.
