I knew Chris for almost 50 years. He was a very nice man, intelligent and interesting to listen to. Chris was very generous with his time and helped many people in his long and varied life. He told me about his childhood evacuation in World War II, the history of his beloved Liverpool and the characters he met in his long career as an accountant. Chris continued his accounting work right to the end and helped several people with their financial problems. We used to meet for lunch at Casa Italia in Stanley Street which he loved - it was invariably pizza!! He was well known by the staff there. I will miss our long chats about all subjects including football. Chris was more than an Everton fan - he was a football fan - and he would have loved to watch the last derby at Goodison on the TV. I will miss him greatly as will his many friends and members of the Catholic Church to which he was devoted. Chris was a true Christian in every sense. He is now at peace in God’s care.
