13th February 2025, hi my darling. 49 years today since your Dad died. From what I can remember it was sudden, I think he had pneumonia and died the day he went into hospital. 6th February 2025. Hi my love, as will know Simon is 57 today. If retirement age hadn't changed he could have retired in eight years time. They are going out for a meal later today to celebrate. We got him a Miller and Carter voucher, some dollars and £20 00p to buy some beers. He phoned this morning to check up on me like he usually does. I miss you with all my heart sweetheart. 27th January 2025. Hi love, yesterday we went over to Rochdale because Leslie and Marie were celebrating their 50th anniversary of meeting. We went to the Royal Toby in Castleton. The meal was really nice and hot. I was a bit of a pig because I had three courses, I took advantage because it is not very often I get the chance to eat like that. I did at Christmas when I went out with Simon and Helen. But other than that it is usually soup and sandwich plus a small meal in the evening. They had a few friends there and the rest was family. Apart from Betty I think all our friends have died, there are still people we knew from Excelsior days. Gaby was there and she never stopped talking, she was telling us of all the things that her and Simon got up to as children. She must have remembered from another life that I slept through. Hardly anything she said sounded familiar. My ears were ringing at the end of it all. But overall it was a lovely day with good food. Didn't see much of Gwyneth though. Love you always my darling.
