KayDOBSONPassed away suddenly at her home in Huncoat on Wednesday, May 15, aged 77 years. She was the wife of her loving husband Brian, mother to Sacha, Lee and Dean. Mother-in-law to Simon and George and sister to Lyn and Jim. She was much-loved by nephews and nieces, stepchildren and grandchildren. Kay was born in Accrington and attended Hyndburn Park School. She started work at 16 and had a number of jobs while her children were young. She later worked at Hambledon Studios and made many, many good friends. She will also be remembered as the landlady of The Queen’s Pub and The Stanley Club in Accrington. Kay loved her holidays abroad and, in her later years, travelling to Whitby and to Lytham St Anne’s where she stayed at the St Ives Hotel. She will be sadly missed by so many family and friends. Kay’s funeral will take place on Tuesday, June 4, at 11am at Accrington Crematorium Chapel, conducted by Neil Overton.
