Mary Russell Anderson (Nee Sutherland)DOHERTY(Balfron/Killearn) Passed away peacefully on Monday, June 28, 2021 in the care of the Forth Valley Royal Hospital. Born June 7, 1939 in Fauldhouse to Elizabeth Parker Cruickshanks and James Russell Sutherland. She was the eldest of five - Betty, Jim, Catherine and Jessie. At the age of 15, Mary worked in Glasgow and joined the Bretheran Church where she met Stuart McLean Doherty whom she married in 1965 and predeceased her in death in March 2010. Together, they had three daughters - Tirzah, Gwyneth and Thea. In 1975, they moved to Killearn where she worked as a nurse in the local children's hospital in Strathblane. Mary was adventurous and enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking and entertaining. She is survived by her daughters and eight gorgeous grandchildren - Nikita, Charlotte, Nadia, Sacha, Amber, Dylan, Elizabeth and Euan, whom she loved very much. Mary will be greatly missed by all of her loved ones. Funeral services will be held at Killearn Church on Tuesday, July 13 at 11:00am. Burial will take place immediately following at Killearn Cemetery.
