Dr Kenneth JamesDONOVAN BA, MED, DTH.Of Briton Ferry, previously of Treorchy, died peacefully at his Care Home on Wednesday 22nd of January 2025 in his 94th year. Son of Ronald and Chrissie, brother of the late Malcolm and Janice, brother-in-law of the late Madeline. Brother-in-law of Ronald. A much loved, inspirational and inimitable Uncle, Cousin and friend. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Former teacher at Rhondda County Grammar School for boys, Officer for The National Union of Teachers. Active member of Jerusalem English Baptist Church and latterly The Church in Wales St. Marys. Following retirement, a non-parent governor at Cwrt Sart Comprehensive, lecturer at the School of History, Archaeology and Religion, Cardiff University, volunteer at Briton Ferry Library.

Public service at Margam Crematorium on the 3rd of March 2025 at 1:45.

Family flowers only, however donations will be gratefully accepted in memory of Ken, toward the staff and residents of Parc Wern Care Home, Ammanford. A donation box will be provided on the day of the funeral. Cheques to be made payable to Miss F C Davies.

A great teacher who really was a scholar and a gentleman, who stood out even amongst the plethora of inspirational teachers who I and many others were so fortunate to be blessed with at that wonderful school Porth County. We are forever in his debt.
