I will always remember my Uncle Terry as a kind, gentle, generous man, who loved the simple things in life - family, friends, music and laughter. I have fond childhood recollections of long walks after a magnificent Sunday lunch, hunting blackberries up the back lonnen. The world was a better place with you in it. May you rest in peace.

We first met James (as we always called him) online, due to his interest in the recent history of Eastern European communism. We quickly developed a close friendship, and James and his wonderful wife Sheila became as close as family. We cherish the memories of our vacations together, both in Romania and in England. He was to us, the intelligent, sensitive man with a fine sense of humor. His music delighted our ears. Today, our eyes are full of tears, but our hearts are full of love for the one who was and is our beloved James. May you have a smooth journey to heaven, dear friend!

Rest in peace our Dear Uncle Terry. I'll always think of you whenever I hear a good country song. Thanks for the laughs, the photographs, and the memories. I will continue your love for music and travel, and hope to experience even half of what you have in life. You'll be missed, but never forgotten. All my love, Chantel xxx

Rest in peace Terry my friend. Great memories of our time and music together in Aden and Germany. You introduced me to Folk music and taught me the basics of finger-picking guitar and my musical journey continues. My life was much influenced by you and my wife Mabel and sons Colin and Ian think of you as part of our extended family. You are greatly missed. Our hearts go out to Sheila and all your family.
