Hi. I’ve just heard of Phil’s passing. I cannot begin to tell you how sad this has made me feel. When I first moved to Bristol in 2000 I got to know Phil and he helped me make a house into a home. He became a friend and we all loved him dearly. He loved my mum's fruit cake so I always had to make sure if he was here that one was freshly made and we would joke about a discount on any job because of all the cake he ate. Phil was and is my Bristol. Being a Welshie and new to Bristol, he was one of the first real friends I made here and his energy, laughter, cheek, professionalism and sense of fun is something I am going to really miss. I last saw him when we redid my bathroom and I always loved his first response to any job request ‘now then Gerwyn that won’t be easy!’ Something I’ve taken into my own job and got great results with. Knowing I won’t see him again creates a sadness that’s hard to explain. I can’t make the funeral but in my own way I will celebrate his amazing life. He often spoke so fondly of family and the holidays and would always remind me that a Friday was a no no as it was steak night. I loved Phil. May his beautiful soul rest in peace and for family and for us all may his passing remind us of good people, good lives and the simple fact people like Phil are priceless. I will never forget him. ❤️ Gerwyn. X

Dearest Diane, Ross and Gemma, so deeply saddened to hear of Phil’s passing. It was an honour and a privilege to have known him. We remember with great fondness our early years with you all in St Francis Drive. Such wonderful memories. Our thoughts with you all from across the miles.

Love from Julie, Neil, Matthew, Anthony and family. XXX
