Simon Tristan and Marjory so sorry to see this. Hugh was a great guy and I have lots of great memories of all of you back in Telford. Always remember Hugh’s love of rock and roll music which he introduced me to. All the best and so sorry for your loss.

I remember Hugh Dowell as my best friend's father who I knew since 1976 when I started school with Tristan in Wellington. Hugh and his wife Marjory were always so nice and kind to me when I was a child and Hugh had an amazing sense of humour as you would expect from someone so intelligent. Hugh was a very strong and determined person who was an avid runner and Tristan took after him with this quality. I am extremely sad that this has happened and would like it if I could one day meet Hugh in heaven.

My deepest sympathies to Marjory, Tristan, Simon and family on the passing of Dear Hugh. From first meeting him 15 or so years ago to February this year when last we met, he would always have a joke, a cheeky grin and a good trivia question to try and catch me out on! May his soul rest in peace. Jess xxx
