BernardDOYLEOf Fairfield St, Accrington, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 29, aged 82 years.
During his working life he worked for over 30 years at the Blackburn School of Music as well as being a music teacher at various local schools. He was also a musician in the QLR Regiment.
Music formed a huge part of Bernard's life. He was a conductor of the East Lancashire Concert Band for 10 years and was the conductor of the Rossendale Encore Concert Band too.
In his spare time and during his retirement he was a keen snooker player and enjoyed playing crown green bowls. He was also a member of Oswaldtwistle Social Club and Globe Bowling Club.
He sadly leaves behind his dearly loved partner Christine and family and his sister in law Teresa and family. Bernard will be very sadly missed by all those who knew him.
His funeral service will take place at 12.45pm on Wednesday, September 16,
at St Mary's, Oswaldtwistle followed by interment at Accrington Cemetery.
