ValerieDR COWAN/WHITAKERIt is with great sadness that we announce that Dr Valerie Cowan/Whitaker, aged 65, who had been a Partner at Bridge Street Surgery, Brigg from 1985 - 2012, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer in the presence of her husband Nigel and children Kerry, Robbie and Alan at her home in East Kennet, Wiltshire. She will be greatly missed, a loving wife to Nigel, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. Donations in her memory may be sent to Prospect Hospice, Moormead Road, Wroughton, Swindon, SN4 9BY. Or made on their website www.prospect-hospice.net

So shocked to read this, she was my GP for many years and helped me through some rough times, she was the type of GP who had time for her patients and never rushed them out the door, she took the time to talk and more importantly listen. My thoughts to all her family
