David WilliamDRINGKnown as Dave, died 18th November 2018, aged 78, at home in Acocks Green, Birmingham. His Funeral will be at 10am on 13th December 2018, at Sacred Heart and Holy Souls Church, Warwick Road, Acocks Green, Birmingham. He will be in repose in the Church from 6pm on Wednesday 12th December. Born on 22nd February 1940, Dave was the youngest of three sons born to Archibald William and Lillian Ethel Mary Dring (nee Dudley). He was married to Elaine Jeanette Baker on 22 February 1975, a happy and supportive marriage that produced two sons and two daughters. Having worked for various companies within the Rover Group for 20+ years, it was upon leaving the Group that he found his true calling, working with people with mental and physical disabilities and the elderly, providing care, companionship and support to better their lives and provide independence. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Elaine, two sons David and Andrew, two daughters, Catherine and Elizabeth, and four grandchildren, Ethan, Iris, Xander and Lillian. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the charities Brain Tumour Research or Diabetes UK.
